ImjaTse (Island Peak) Trek
The Everest base camp trek is one of the Dream treks for many people. Also one of the favourites in the Khumbu valley. This trek starts with a heart throbbing, scary flight to the dangerous airport in Lukla. From here, ahead in the trek we can get a spectacular view of mountains like Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse, Imja Tse etc, Passing through various Sherpa villages like Namche bazaar, Monasteries like Tengboche, Rhododendron forests, crossing over various bridges and ascending and descending over various types of terrain. This trek becomes all the more cherish able because of the company of friendly and loyal Sherpas. The Highest point of the trek is Kala Patthar 5545m from where we get a panoramic view of the Mt.Everest 8848m and surrounding peaks. There will be plenty of time to enjoy the culture of the Sherpas and visit ancient monasteries, walk through the towns and explore the shops, stop at any of the numerous teahouses sip a glass of sweetened tea or Chang [Millet beer, for the brave hearts ;)] and get a taste of hospitality unique to the Sherpas. Beautiful, multi-hued prayer flags, prayer wheels and intricately carved Mani stones line every hilltop, rock wall and trailside singing prayers to the gods with every breeze and every passing traveler.

| Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to the hotel and welcome dinner in the evening with typical Nepalese food. | ||

| After breakfast at hotel start Kathmandu and Patan cities sightseeing with city tour guide. And rest of the day is for preparation and trekking packing. Overnight stay at hotel. | ||
| Day 03 | : | Kathmandu to Lukla (2886m) to Phakding (2640m) - 5 hours. |
| Transfer to the domestic airport to fly to Lukla, which is a beautiful mountain town. After lunch at Lukla start to trek. This trail continues along a small path with many climbs and descents following the left bank of Dudh Koshi River to Phakding. Overnight stay at trekkers lodge. | ||

| Day 09 | : | : Lobuche to Gorakh Shep (5180 m) - 4 to 5 hours – [Kala Patthar excursion 3 hours] –. |
| After breakfast, start early to trek to Gorakh Shep. Trek up the valley following the rocky moraine path, view icy glacial pond and icebergs of Khumbu glacier, down below. Break the trek at Gorakh Shep for Lunch and a short rest. After lunch Start trek to Kala Patthar (5545m), the walk is steeply ascending until you reach a rocky spot Kala Patthar. We reach Kala Patthar around sunset to see a panoramic view of Mt. Everest and many other mountain peaks like Mt. Pumori, Mt. Lingtren, Mt. Khumbutse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku and many more. After the excursion and Photography, return back to Gorakh Shep.End the day with a joyful delicious dinner. | ||

| After breakfast, early morning at 6am Start trek to Everest Base Camp (5364 m) about 2.5 hours, gently ascending with rough zigzag. After a short excursion of Everest Base Camp. Trek down descending to Gorakh Shep. After lunch, start trek to Pheriche. Overnight stay at trekkers lodge. | ||

| Today take an early morning flight back to Kathmandu that takes approximately 30 minutes. Arrival pick up from Kathmandu airport and transfer to related hotel. | ||

| After breakfast, transfer to international airport as your airport check in schedule or proceeds for further program. | ||

Risk and Liabilities:
We will endeavor to make your program smooth and as pleasant as possible. However the entire programs of trekking are on the ranges of great mountains. Therefore, Akka Adventures and ANY related agencies shall not be responsible for any changes in the itineraries due to unavoidable circumstance and natural disasters such as landslide, road blockage, flood, snowing, cancellation of flight and delay, any types of sickness including altitude sickness. Any extra cost including there shall be borne by trekkers themselves.
Insurance:
Full trekking and travel insurance coverage for medicine, rescue evacuation, loss of belongs, and trip cancellation is strongly recommended. This can be done by Akka Adventures at an additional cost.
Cancellation:
Full cost of the trip will be refunded (except airfare cancellation) till 21days prior to the trip, after that, the below mentioned cancellation rules will apply. If Akka Adventures has made ticket bookings the Airfare cancellation amount will also apply.
- 50% advance while booking & 50% before 30days of travel
- All other bookings will carry

- 50% cancellation charges if cancelled before 30 days
- 75% cancellation charges if cancelled before 15 days
- No refund if cancelled less than15 days
Bring the following items with you:
Woolen gloves, Balaclava, Sun hat, Thermal wear, Water bottle, Woolen socks, Towel, Light Jacket, Down-Jacket, Sunglasses, Sun and cold cream, Torch with extra batteries / bulbs, Raincoat, Paper towels, Soap, Sweaters, Shirt / T-shirt, Trekking shoes, trekking stick, flip- flops, personal medicines. We will have oxygen cylinders and First aid kit with us.
