KAILASH LOCATION : Western Tibet.
ALTITUDE : Kailash peak (6714m) above sea level.
BASE CAMP : Darchen (4560m) above sea level.
CLIMATE : Unpredictable (Max 20 degree Celsius to Min. –10 degree Celsius).
BELIEFS : Hindu, Buddhist, Jain, Ban-Po (all AUM followers).
VISITING TIME : Late April to September.
PARIKRAMA (Kora) KAILASH : 52 Km {three days} Only 38 Km by walk.
ALTITUDE OF MANAS : (4550m) above Sea level.
PARIKRAMA OF MANAS : 102 Km. (one day by Land Cruiser).
KILOMETER FROM KTM : 817 (one way) including 38 km round of Kailash Parbat.
TOTAL JOURNEY : From Nepal to Nepal is 13nights to 14days days normally and changes as per program itineraries.
CLOTHING : Heavy woolen and clothing meant for mountaineering.
STANDARD TIME : Tibet is 2:00 hours ahead than Nepal’s time
CURRENCY : The unit of currency is the Renimbi or Yuan. A dollar equivalent 6.00 Yuan approximately.

According to the Hindu Mythology, Lord Shiva spends most of his time at holy Mount Kailash, practicing Yogic austerities, joy and love with his divine consort Parvati (Mother of Mythology). The Lake Mansarovar and the holy Mount Kailash are the SOUL of all AUM followers in the world.

"Conventional wisdom says a single circuit of Mt. Kailash wipes out the sins of a lifetime, 108 Parikramas guarantees enlightenment. A ritual bath in the sacred Mansarovar Lake delivers pilgrim to Brahma's paradise and a drop drink of its water relinquishes the sins of hundreds of lifetimes."

Day 01 : Kathmandu (1337m)
Welcome receive from Kathmandu international airport, transfer to hotel. Evening program briefing.
Hotel:Summit Residency hotel Airport or Similar (3stars deluxe hotel).
Meals: Welcome drink and Dinner.
Day 02 : Kathmandu:
Kathmandu sightseeing and evening program briefing.
Hotel:Summit Residency hotel Airport or Similar.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.
Day 03 : Kathmandu to Nylam
(3750m): Early breakfast at Kathmandu. Drive about 4 to 5 hours to Kodari (Nepal – China Border) by private tourist coch. After Lunch at border proceed for Nepal Embarkation and Immigrate to Chinese autonomous land Tibet. Drive about one and half hours by Chinese vehicle and get Nylam.
Hotel:Xisapangma, Pilgrimage Inn or Similar.
Meals: Breakfast at Kathmandu, Lunch at Kodari Border and Dinner at Nylam prepered by Nepalies staffs (start own Kitchen).
Day 04 : Nylam:
Full day free at Nylam, trek around hill for acclimatization and Nylam city excursion.
Hotel:Xisapangma, Pilgrimage Inn or Similar.
Meals: Bed tea, breakfast, lunch afternoon Tea/Coffee, Evening Dinner.
Day 05 : Nylam to Dongba (4500m) – 6 to 7 hours.
Full day free at Nylam for acclimatization and Nylam city excursion.
Hotel:Dongba Xisapangma or Similar.
Meals: Bbed tea & breakfast at Dongba, hotcase packed Lucnh on the way & Evening Dinner at Camp.
Day 06 : Dongba to Mansarovar
(4580m): Drive to Lake Mansarovar with Parikrama (Kora) (circumambulation) of Lake. Perform first holy Dip & short Pooja. Reach Chiu gompa.
Hotel:Hotel Lake View, Parmartha Ashram or Similar.
Meals: Bed tea & breakfast at Dongba, hotcase packed Lucnh while making Manasarovar Parikrama & Evening hot Dinner at Camp.
     
Day 07 : Mansarovar to Darchen (4700m):
Mornig is free to acomplish spritual activities; Puja, Homa and excursion around Mansarovar. Drive to Darchen about an hour away, check in to the guest house. Start trek to Asthapatha (If open) and back to Darchen after Inner Darshana.
Hotel:Darchen Guest house or Similar.
Meals: Bed tea, breakfast and Lunch at Mansarovarg. Evening hot Dinner at Camp.
Day 08 : Darchen to Driaphuk (4890m):
This is first day of the Kailash Parikrama (Kora). Start after breakfast as earlier as possible, walk about 13 km within about 7 hours. One can ride personal horse.
Hotel:Xisapangma, or Mud house.
Meals: Bed tea and breakfast at darchen, packed Lucnh with fruits and Chocolates, Dinner at Driaphuk Camp with hot soup and energy drink.
Day 09 : Driaphuk to Zuthulphuk (4790m):
The day is to Pass Dolma-La (5,670m) above sea level. Weather will be unpredictabl, any time it can change. So we try to start our journey as earlier as possible. Devine view of Gaurikund on the way while decending from Dolma-La.
Hotel:Zhuthulphuk Guesthouse.
Meals: Bed tea & breakfast at Driaphuk, packed Lucnh with fruits, chocolates and cookies while trekking & Evening hot Dinner at Camp.
Day 10 : Zuthulphuk to Paryang / Dongba:
Trek about 2 to 3 hours to end the Parikrama (Kora) of Kailash Parbat (Mountain) at Mani Wall. Drive about 7 hours to Paryang/ Dongba.
Hotel:Dongba Xisapangma or Similar.
Meals: Bed tea and breakfast at Zuthulphuk, hotcase packed lunch on the way and dinner at Donba Camp.
Day 11 : Paryang / Donga to Nylam – 7 hours:
Hotel:Xisapangma, Pilgrimage Inn or Similar.
Meals: Bed tea and breakfast at Dongba, hotecase packed luch on the way and dinner at Nylam.
Day 12 : Nylam to Kathmandu:
Drive about an hour to Zhangmu Border. After clearance the border formalities, Nepal part will pick up from border by tourist coach and proceed to Kathmand. Check in to the hotel. In the evening, feedback assembly and certificate distribution. Over night stay at hotel.
Hotel: Summit residency hotel Airport or Similar.
Meals: Bed tea and light breakfast at Nylam, Lunch at Kodari Border and Dinner at hotel.
Day 13 :  Airport:
After breakfast we transfer you to airport by tourist coach.
Meals: Breakast at hotel

We will endeavor to make your journey smooth and as pleasant as possible. However the entire program in Tibet is conducted strictly under the rules and regulations of China Tibet Tourism Bureau. Therefore, Akka Adventures and its supporting and related organizations will not be responsible for any changes in the itineraries due to unavoidable circumstance such as Government restriction, land slide, road blockage, flood, snow, and Political unrest, cancellation of flight, delay, Delay due late permit and Visa, sickness or Accident. Any extra cost including there shall be borne by travelers themselves.

Documents required:
  • Minimum six months valid passport
  • 2 to 4 copies of passport size photographs.

Fitness:

This is not a trek or expedition but a tour; therefore no specific level of fitness is required. Anybody can join this Yatra if they think themselves fit and have strong willpower. People suffering from cardiac or respiratory problems should consult their doctor. Morning and evening walks, jogging, stretching, meditation and regular exercise make the journey comfortable for all.

Food and Beverage:

We will serve delicious Continental & Indian food; Breakfast and Dinner in Campsite served by Nepali trained staff. Packed lunch will be provided during daytime. We will serve Mineral Water for drinking purpose.

Clothing and Necessities:

As the temperature varies greatly between day and night (from max. 20 degrees Celsius to min. –10 degrees Celsius) one should prepare accordingly. We will give heavy duty down jackets.

Bring the following items with you:

Woolen gloves, Balaclava, Sun hat, Thermal wear, reusable Water bottle, Thermos if needed, Woolen socks, Towel, Light Jacket, Sunglasses, Sun cream, Torch with extra batteries/bulbs, Muffler, Mask, Raincoat, Sweater, Shirt/T-shirt & Trekking shoes.

Insurance:

Full travel, insurance coverage for medicine, Helicopter evacuation if incase of emergency, lost of belongs, and trip cancellation is strongly recommended. Akka Adventrues can arrange for Travel insurance at a minimal additional cost.

  • 50% advance while booking & 50% before 30days of travel. 100% payment 30 days before date of travel.
  • All other bookings will carry
  • 25% cancellation charges from day 1
  • 50% cancellation charges if cancelled before 30 days
  • 75% cancellation charges if cancelled before 15 days
  • o No refund if cancelled less than15 days
  • In case of cancellation, If airtickets have been booked by us, airfare cancellation fee will NOT be refunded, You, The Traveller has to bear the cancellation fee.
